What a whirlwind!

What a busy, exciting time these last six weeks have been! We’re glad to have Dr. Alvetro and Marisa home safely, after their travels to Austrailia, Columbia, and Mexico, where Dr. Alvetro was lecturing, all in the last two weeks!

Relay for Life has also come and gone for another year. We were proud to have raised over $7000 this year for Relay and The American Cancer Society. Shelby County came together to raise a total of $207, 283.72! Way to go!

The construction of our new Tipp city location is progressing nicely. It’s been so exciting to see the project coming together, and to know that we’ll be in our very own space in just a couple of weeks. We can’t wait!

On September 1st we launched our new Alvetro Ortho Rewards program. Instead of tokens our patients can now earn points for taking care of their teeth and braces, as well as for office contest participation, birthdays, and referring friends. Patients will be given an Alvetro Ortho Rewards Card, which can be scanned in the office at their appointment to add points. Rewards program members can access their points balance online by visiting www.alvetroortho.com and clicking on  Alvetro Ortho Rewards under the “Fun Stuff” Tab. Not only can points be viewed, patients can also check the point cost of the very cool items available in our Rewards Cabinet. If you’ve got lots of tokens saved, don’t worry, tokens will be traded for points. Each token can be exchanged for 10 points, simply bring them along to your next visit.

September also marked the beginning of voting for our 2nd Annual Alvetro Orthodontics Temporary Tattoo contest. There were so many awesome entries this year, we’ve really enjoyed getting to see all the photos as they’ve been submitted. Voting continues until Novemeber 1st. You can vote online by visiting the “2011 Temporary Tattoo Contest” album on our Facebook Page, and clicking the “Like” button under your favorite photo.  You can also vote on paper ballots available at the reception desk in our Sidney office. The grand prize for this year’s contest is a family weekend trip to either Great Wolf Lodge or Kalahari, and the 2nd place winner will receive an iPod Shuffle.

If you’re creative and like to draw, our current contest is for you! Design Alvetro Ortho’s 2011 Christmas card. The winning design will be printed so that we can send  it as our official Christmas card this season. The winner will receive copies of the card for their own use as well as a $50 gift card. Everyone who participates will get 5 points in the Alvetro Ortho Rewards program. We can’t wait to see your entries!

 

 

 

Branching Out

Welcome to our very 1st blog post! There have been lots of exciting things happening at Alvetro Orthodontics this year and we thought a blog would be a great way to keep all of you updated. We post often on Facebook and Twitter but a blog seemed like a better way to share all that’s happening without having to keep it quite as short.

As most of you may know, we’re in the process of building our branch office in Tipp City OH.  It’s been in the works for a little while now, but construction is officially underway and we’ll be up and running in our new space in just a few short months.

We’re all gearing up for Relay for Life, which is only 9 days away! It’s hard to believe it’s that time of year again. We’re raffling a hand crocheted afghan made by Judy Cartwright in memory of her son, Chris Cartwright. Tickets are 1 for $1 or 6 for $5 and will be available throughout Relay. We’re  going to be auctioning a “Baker’s Dozen of a Baker’s Dozen” cookies for the baked goods auction, as well as full orthodontic treatment by Dr. Sullivan for the Saturday morning auction.

We’re still handing out “crEATables” kits through the rest of the month, which are licorice ropes you can twist, braid, weave, then eat, and in August we’ll be handing out Smencils for back to school.  Smencils are gourmet scented pencils made from recycled newspaper, and they are so cool!
